Anna Veronica remembers her grandmother with love. As a grown-up woman, she becomes interested in her family history, and goes searching for the story of what happened to her grandma when she was a young woman and left her home and family after a tragic accident in the mountains. Just when Anna Veronica thought her life was going well, she meets her twin flame and from this point on her life will never be the same again. Slowly but surely Anna Veronica’s life falls apart and more than once she is on her knees praying desperately for help to be released from stress and pain. Anna Veronica is named Anna after her great grandma and Veronica after the medicine woman that her own grandma met when she was young. The book is the sequel to the novel ‘Olava’ but can be read independently. The story is dedicated to Our Ancestors.

Anne-Lene Bleken (b. 1966) comes from Lillehammer in Norway with strong roots in the Western part of the country where her mother’s family come from. She has lived in Aarhus in Denmark since 1989 where she has an MA in English and Media. Bleken published her first novel, Olava, in 2012 and the sequel Anna Veronica in 2020.
